With the advent of consumer neurotechnologies, the data being collected is becoming ever more intimate. One headband serves as a personal meditation coach by monitoring the user’s brain activity. Another reads and interprets brain signals while the user scrolls through dating apps, presumably to provide better matches. The companies behind such technologies have access to the records of the users’ brain activity — the electrical signals underlying our thoughts, feelings and intentions. On Wednesday, Governor Jared Polis of Colorado signed a bill that, for the first time in the United States, tries to ensure that such data remains truly private.

CNN —An investigation into more than 115 bodies found “improperly stored” in a Colorado funeral home offering “green burials” could take months, officials say. The remains were found in the Return to Nature Funeral Home in Penrose, about 30 miles south of Colorado Springs. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the FBI are assisting the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation. The coroner’s office was contacted by the Fremont County sheriff on a report of an odor coming from the funeral home, Keller said. CNN has reached out to the Return to Nature Funeral Home for comment.

Teachers, already underpaid, face a mounting housing crisis in some wealthy Colorado cities, reports say. In a ski town with ultra-rich residents, high schoolers in Aspen High School's woodshop program are building a 200-square-foot tiny home for one of the district employees, The Colorado Sun reported. Aspen School District and Summit School District, both of which include resort towns, have both turned to student-built tiny homes for district employees – amid what state officials have called an affordability crisis.
